Severe (GruvGlu | Raleigh)
Jamie Murray, aka Severe, continues to lead the way with the Drum and Bass sound in the Raleigh area. He always brings fresh new music from his connections across the globe. Severe has opened for many big name djs including Evol Intent, John B, Catacomb, Bad Robot, and many more. While he can drop murderous tracks he tends to lean on the more dancefloor friendly drum and bass sound.Severe has played many venues across the state and managed a Wednesday night weekely @ Mosquito in raleigh for over two years and also helped manage and performed on the 2005 Gruv Cruz on Carnival, which was a 7 day cruise to Puerto Rico, St. Maartin, and St. Thomas. Listen to Severe's latest mix and Friend Severe on Facebook Along with: Kino (Port City Productions | Wilmington) Keat Waddell aka Kino burst onto the electronica scene in 2001 as the mastermind behind Port City Productions with one goal in mind; opening the minds of a pop culture generation. He quickly became a staple in nightlife by bringing acts such as Icey, Baby Anne, Magic Mike, Jackal and Hyde, and Dieselboy just to name a few. After watching from afar he chose to get behind the decks to push his passion even farther by learning the art of djing from the very best. In the summer of 2007 he opened for Mark Sanchez at the Hard Rock Seminole in Tampa for a crowd of nearly 2000 and never looked back. Now almost a decade later, he returns to Wilmington to pick up where he left off by bringing his unique style of blending a high energy mix of electro and progressive house to keep the dance floor moving into the wee hours of the night!
