New Sub hehehe.

Well, the roommates and I just *finished* our first Tuba 30 Subwoofer. This is a folded horn sub designed by Bill Fitzmaurice (http://www.billfitzmaurice.com/).
Even though its only loaded with a single 12", we can start to make the walls shake in my room with as little input as 100-150 watts. Its ungodly
. We plan on building another to achieve the V-coupled technique as described on the BFM site. Gotta go pick up the tops, since I lent them to a friend, and we can give this sub a true breaking in then (right now its only been 30hz test tones... Brainshattering).
To say I'm stoked is a bit of an understatement. Our neighbors are pissed.....

Here's a pic. Its not finished yet, but it is functional. We'll do duratex over the latex base coat when we finish the second one.

Its not powered. Running it, and its newly minted twin off of a single channel of a crown xti 2000 in parallel. Plan to throw the tops on the other channel.

I'll probably start to take frequency response measurements later this week, or early next week. Should be interesting to say the least.

Well, gave them their first test last night (built a second one last week).
Performance was great, Nice clean bass that rattled your insides. turn out was about 180-200 at peak times. We were semi outdoors, in an enclosed space. The space was a tad difficult to fill, due to the semi odd layout, but there was plenty of bass to go around.

Oh my god, the forums are working again!!!!
Overall, for 2 tops, 2 sub, probably less than 120 for lumber. 5-6 sheets of 4x8
